(permanent) visa (Subclass 189)
This is a GSM category visas that enables you (and your
family) to settle and work permanently in Australia. This is a point tested visa and you will need
to be invited via Skillselect system to enable you to apply for this visa.
Grant of this visa gives you the right to work and live in any part of
Australia and you will enjoy all the benefits of being a permanent resident of
Australia. After a prescribed period of
time you will be entitled to apply for Australian citizenship.
The applicants need to be skilled with a prescribed skilled
occupation and should obtain the required amount of points in points tested
system for them to be invited via Skillselect system. The maximum age considered for this visa is 45 years.
