Subclass 190
Skilled
Nominated Permanent visa (Subclass 190)
The Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) is yet another
visa available under the General Skilled migration pathway. It is a permanent
residence visa for points-tested skilled workers who want to work and live
in Australia after being nominated by an Australian state or territory
government agency.
This visa too is similar to subclass 189 visa in many
aspects except the eligibility for this visa lies on the applicant being
nominated by a state. State nomination will provide the applicant with 5
extra points to the points score enabling the suitable candidates to reach the
pass mark. To be able to apply for this
visa you need to submit an expression of interest and then be invited through
SkillSelect. You can be in or outside Australia when you apply and when the
visa is granted. The maximum age
considered for this visa is 45 years.
