Nomination by a State or Territory Government
Each State and Territory Government has its own list of
occupations in demand in their area. There may be specific requirements in
relation to your work experience, English language ability or specialised
skills. Some states and territories have eligibility criteria that favours the
graduates from their own state or territory in the nomination process.
You need to submit an expression of interest (EOI) via
SkillSelect with details of your nominated occupation, skills and
qualifications. SkillSelect will estimate your points score. The nomination process is a decision of the
relevant state or territory. If you are nominated by a state or territory
agency, you will be invited to apply for the visa. If you are invited, you have
60 calendar days to apply for the visa. We will then process your visa
application.
Each state or territory government will release these
nominations throughout the year and once the quota is reached the program will
cease for that category.
For accurate information on how to apply and obtain a
successful nomination it is always advisable to seek professional opinion.
