Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (Subclass 491)

This visa is valid only for up to 5 years. The applicant will be eligible to apply for permanent residency after 03 years from the time his/ her visa is granted. The applicant can live, work or study only in a designated regional area in Australia. Yet, the applicants can travel back and forth anytime during their stay of 05 years.

Eligibility criteria required:

  1. applicant must be nominated by the state, territory government agency, or by an eligible relative.
  2. Must have an occupation that is listed on the nominated skill occupation list.
  3. Must have completed the skill assessment which is required for the occupation.
  4. Must be invited to apply.
  5. Must have a satisfactory level of points from the points test.
  6. Must be under 45 years of age.
